		<description>Interesting ideas.  I see the logic behind what you&#039;re saying but not necessarily the economic argument.  iTunes (for example) works because the unit cost of the music is sufficient to make the sale by micropayment financially viable.  With the average cost of a daily newspaper less than that of a single track from iTunes the charge for accessing a single story would have to be miniscule rather than micro otherwise people would just start buying papers again.  The alternative would be to pay a subscription up front, say £20, and then each time a story is accessed a penny is deducted.  The problem with this is that whereas I might subscribe to iTunes safe in the knowledge that there will almost certainly continue to be music that I wish to download I would need convincing that there will be sufficient subscriber only stories on the website in future weeks to make my investment worthwhile.  Just a thought...</description>
