Hi Anjali- Very though provoking. But I'm a little surprised that the issue of piracy has been left completely unexplored. The movement from paid to free content according to me, has been influenced most by the emergence of alternate platforms that give away free content (or for a really negligible price), I believe tip no. 3 from Alan Murray is directly borne out of this. Since the most popular content is likely to be the most pirated as well, it makes sense to distribute it free.
