CAVA is a fast-casual restaurant chain offering customisable Mediterranean-inspired bowls, salads, and wraps with a modern twist

The brand  partnered with Made by Many. We worked closely with CAVA’s CEO and CTO to design and make a bespoke ordering platform and best-in-class mobile/desktop ordering app that propelled CAVA from 12 locations to over 263 across the US. 

CAVA’s IPO in June 2023 achieved a valuation of $4.7 billion in what Reuters called “a stellar market debut”.

As always, we started by understanding the business and customer needs

Our hands-on approach involved weekly prototype and code tests inside restaurants, ensuring what we built truly resonated with both employees and customers. We achieved this using a participatory design approach, and by working closely with CAVA’s leadership to understand the business.

What we made was way more than just an ordering system

We created a platform that makes choosing from over 58 million food combinations simple and easy. It also offers efficient pick-up times, group ordering and intelligent alternative location suggestions.

We made a comprehensive tool to streamline the customer journey and manage restaurant traffic.

And we didn't stop at ordering

We also re-imagined CAVA's loyalty program, diving deep with real users to uncover  and prototype what truly mattered to customers and what would create the biggest value for the business
